Influencer João Lucas da Silva Alves, also known as “Lucas Picolé”, will remain in prison despite being granted provisional release in the case investigating a raffle fraud scheme in Manaus, Amazonas. The 4th Criminal Court of Manaus had ordered the influencer’s release, along with the cancellation of the house arrest of influencer Isabelly Aurora Simplício Souza. However, Enzo Felipe da Silva Oliveira, known as “Mano queixo”, another individual involved in the scheme, remains in custody.
In addition to the investigation into the online raffle fraud, Picolé and Mano Queixo are also facing charges related to drug trafficking in the state court. Both have been indicted by the Amazonas State Prosecutor’s Office for drug trafficking, association with drug trafficking, and possession of restricted firearms, becoming official defendants in the case.
Despite being granted provisional release in the raffle fraud case, Picolé will continue to be held in the Amazonas prison system as no provisional release has been granted in the drug trafficking case.
“He remains in custody on charges of drug trafficking, but he will definitely be acquitted. As it is a case under absolute secrecy, we cannot disclose much information,” said Vilson Benayon, the influencer’s lawyer.
